Two or three at a time

Side by side

You pick them. We don’t score them, and nothing here adds up to a winner.

All nine, same order for everyone, whether you’re holding one or three.

Just East Orange so far. All of this is true of it on its own — pick one more and the same questions get asked of both.

So what is it actually like?

East Orange

Built on purpose, all at once

South and east Orange: Medical City, the USTA campus, and a wave-shaped hotel, all master-planned inside twenty years. Streets are wide, the trees are young, and everything works. What it does not have is age — no brick, no shade, nothing accidental. Conway and Belle Isle on the north edge are the older, lake-wrapped exception.

How do you get around?

East Orange

Two SunRail stations

Sand Lake Road and Meadow Woods. Neither is close to Medical City.

What does it cost, and how long is the drive?

East Orange

$479,000 median asking

across 804 live listings

Median asking price of live MLS listings we can place in the area, refreshed nightly. Not a value estimate, and never a verdict on where you should look.

The drive is the half we still won’t touch: our map is a drawing rather than a survey, and a drive measured on a drawing is not a fact.

What’s actually there?

How many pages we hold in a part of town is a fact about us, not about the place.

What would annoy you about living here?

East Orange

Everything is ten minutes away by car and nothing is walkable between villages. It is new enough that the trees are small; shade is a decade away.

And what’s coming?

East Orange

Lake Nona Buildout — under construction, as of Aug 19.
