Lake Nona buildout: Lake Nona West is open, and the AdventHealth hospital opens in November

Lake Nona West is no longer a rendering — Homesense, Barnes & Noble and Total Wine opened in May and June, and the 149,000-square-foot Target anchor followed on July 26, with Dick's Sporting Goods, Nordstrom Rack and Sephora still to come this year. Over in Medical City, AdventHealth's 10-story hospital has topped out and is set to open in November. Tavistock isn't pausing: on August 19 it filed plans for the area's first Home Depot next to the new Target, and in June the city approved 426 more Laureate Park homesites south of Medical City.

Lake Nona West: the rest of the lineup arrives through early 2027, with no dates announced

Tavistock says Dick's Sporting Goods and Golf Galaxy (66,000 square feet combined), Nordstrom Rack (about 26,000 square feet), Sephora, Drybar, Just Salad, Gloss Nail Co., Kilwins, Cañonita and JETSET Pilates are expected later in 2026, with openings continuing into early 2027 — none has a store-specific date. Target, Homesense, Barnes & Noble and Total Wine are open now.

From our comments

“So basically they’re responsible for the apartments, selling land to Amazon and all the traffic. No Costco or any of the entertainment options they promised us in lake Nona?”

“Did you ask him what happened to the town center and why it’s been so severely watered down?”
