Two or three at a time

Side by side

You pick them. We don’t score them, and nothing here adds up to a winner.

All nine, same order for everyone, whether you’re holding one or three.

Just Central Florida so far. All of this is true of it on its own — pick one more and the same questions get asked of both.

So what is it actually like?

Central Florida

Five counties, one metro

Orlando is not a city so much as a ring of towns that grew into each other around a set of theme parks and a lake district. Everything is thirty to fifty minutes from everything, which is either the freedom or the frustration depending on the day. The further from I-4 you go the more house you get and the longer you sit in the car.

How do you get around?

Central Florida

Sixteen SunRail stations

One line, north to south, through Seminole and Orange into Osceola. It does not go west, and it does not reach Polk or Lake.

What does it cost, and how long is the drive?

Central Florida

Not on file

Median asking price of live MLS listings we can place in the area, refreshed nightly. Not a value estimate, and never a verdict on where you should look.

The drive is the half we still won’t touch: our map is a drawing rather than a survey, and a drive measured on a drawing is not a fact.

What’s actually there?

Central Florida

No place in Central Florida has a page on our side yet.

How many pages we hold in a part of town is a fact about us, not about the place.

What would annoy you about living here?

Central Florida

Everything out here is connected by road, and only by road. The car is not optional, and I-4 is the one spine everyone shares.

And what’s coming?

Central Florida

The STAR Plan — rumored, as of Aug 31.
