Sunbridge: Taylor Morrison broke ground on Heron Bay, the first neighborhood on the Orlando side

Groundbreaking was May 21 on the 526-home community in the southeast Orange section of Sunbridge — single-family homes and bungalows with three to six bedrooms, priced from the low $500,000s, with a pool, pavilion, dog park and pickleball courts planned.

Sunbridge: about 2,400 homes built, and the Orlando side is breaking ground

Ten years after Tavistock bought the 27,000 acres east of Lake Nona, Sunbridge has two neighborhoods open — Del Webb Sunbridge and Weslyn Park — with roughly 2,400 homes finished. The next wave is now in motion: eight homebuilders paid a combined $43 million for lots in December, the first neighborhoods inside Orlando city limits are set to break ground this year, and a 956,600-square-foot industrial park starts construction this fall. One date has slipped, though — the Watershed, Weslyn Park's lakefront pool, restaurant, and paddle launch, moved from a 2026 opening to summer 2027.

Sunbridge: Weslyn Park's waterfront amenity center, Cypress House, opens summer 2027

Tavistock's May 28 reveal shows a zero-entry resort pool with lap lanes, a clubhouse and a fitness center, with the Crane's Landing restaurant planned for late 2027. One conflict to note: earlier coverage called Weslyn Park's summer-2027 amenity 'the Watershed'; Tavistock's post names it 'Cypress House' for the same date, and no source states whether it was renamed.
